La Geografía política y sus principales temas

La Geografía política constituye un sector importante, pero a la vez evolutivo en la Geografía. Desde los comienzos de la geografía moderna, en la primera mitad del siglo XIX, que mostraba una disciplina íntimamente relacionada con otras ciencias, el área de la Geografía política también se veía beneficiada por la Sociología y la Sicología, principalmente. Este enriquecimiento se manifestó en continuos cambios conceptuales y metodológicos.
El objetivo del presente estudio es el de examinar la esencia que caracteriza esta disciplina y los temas principales de la Geografía política. La primera parte del articulo trata del alcance y definición de la Geografía política. La segunda parte trata de los principales temas que la componen.
