Estructura urbana de las metrópolis latinoamericanas. El caso de la ciudad de Santiago

A la iuz del ejemplo de la ciudad de Santiago de Chile se intentan analizar las dimensiones básicas y las regularidades espaciales en la diferenciación interna de las grandes metrópolis latinoamericanas. Sobre la base de datos censales del año 1970 para 119 distritos del Gran Santiago se realizan varios análisis factoriales y se interpretan sus resultados. El acento de la exposición se pone en la presentación de la diferenciacibn interna de Santiago de acuerdo a su status socioeconómico, además de la estructura de hogares y de la poblacibn residente. En la medida de lo posible se incluyeron también las nuevas tendencias de desarrollo.
