La distribución de la niebla en Chile

No hay estudios de distribución de nieblas en Chile; la razón de la falta de investigaciones de este tipo está dado por la escasez de información. En este trabajo se presentan datos sobre algunas estaciones meteorológicas representativas, se hace una jerarquía de ellas según el número de días nublados al aflo, y se hacen algunas observaciones sobre el origen del fenómeno, su distribución espacial y las consecuencias para la actividad del hombre. El objetivo general es llamar la atención de los científicos sobre la necesidad de este tipo de estudios y un llamado a los planificadores en el momento de la toma de decisiones en problemas relacionados con el medio ambiente.
