Influencia de la heterogeneidad del paisaje en la calidad escénica: El caso precordillerano andino de la cuenca de Santiago

La transformación del paisaje de Chile Central, hace preciso el desarrollo de estudios que permitan cuantilicar la calidad de los paisajes, teniendo en cuenta sus múltiples funciones tanto económicas como ecológicas, pero también escénicas. El presente artículo indaga sobre la relación de las preferencias paisajísticas con la organización espacial de paisaje. Para esto, un grupo de fotografías del paisaje precordillerano de Santiago han sido evaluadas por su belleza escénica y por el grado de complejidad y diversidad percibida, por un conjunto de estudiantes universitarios. Más tarde, se realizó un análisis digital de la estructura visual de cada fotografía y el estudio de la estructura espacial de paisaje en que que tomada cada fotografía, a través de software Fragstats. Se han obtenido relaciones positivas entre los tres grupos descriptores de paisaje. Estas correspondencias sugieren implicaciones que pueden aportar nuevos elementos al debate actual en torno a la gestión de paisaje precordillerano Andino de la Cuenca de Santiago.
