Abstract

The attendance in reproductive and sexual health wraps the education in health whose effectiveness not only depends on the qualification for this activity, as well as, of the support material that the professional prepares to illustrate her educational practice. In the tentative of taking this thematic to the deaf, we wake up for the necessity of elaborating a spelling book to this group, supported in the ideas of Velasquez (1993) that suggests the training of people through materials that dispense the use of letters. This study has as objective to depict our experience in the elaboration of the chapter about prevention of gynecological cancer of this book, when we associate the portuguese languages and of signs to the use of relative engravings to the topic. We consider that this association favored to the transmission of the proposed contents and that the registrations of the signs through engravings are limited, mainly for the signs about the sexuality. At the end of this study, we understand that the association of the portuguese language with the language of signs, we find a recognition of this kind of language and that this it is an initial step to guarantee to the deaf the right of a worthy attention and differed inside the attendance in reproductive and sexual health
