DEEP VENOUS THROMBOSIS (DVP): RISK FACTORS ASSESSMENT IN WOMEN WITH GYNECOLOGIC SURGERY

Abstract
Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT) is an hemosthasis disorder consequence. It's considered a surgery related complication, especially in ginecologic procedures. The aim of this article is to analyze risk factors for DVT development in women with ginecologic surgery in order to give a wide vision of aspects to consider in nursing intervention. Risk factors are described, according to literature review, with DVT cause-effect analysis and the relevance of nursing valuation in these patients. Considering risk factors multiplicity in DVT development, we believe nurse must have knowledgement about this complication, to make a proper valuation and planificate complete and timely care in order to protect women from DVT.
