Prevención y riesgo de las vacunas COVID-19. Un análisis de los encuadres de noticias en México

Resumen

Este estudio analiza la cobertura mediática sobre las vacunas contra la COVID-19 a partir de las teorías del framing y la prospectiva. El framing sostiene que los medios no solo informan, sino que también organizan y priorizan ciertos aspectos de la realidad que pueden influir en la interpretación del público. Por su parte, la prospectiva indica que los encuadres de pérdida destacan los riesgos de no vacunarse, mientras que los de ganancia enfatizan los beneficios de la inmunización. Se emplea la técnica Random Forest para identificar patrones en 34.089 noticias de medios mexicanos publicadas entre diciembre de 2020 y 2021. La investigación ofrece un análisis empírico sobre cómo estos encuadres influyen en la promoción de la vacunación mediante distintos enfoques informativos basados en evidencia científica.
