Role of Locus of Control as a Moderating Factor in Anxiety and Depressive Disorders in Older Adults

Abstract

This is a descriptive study that describes locus of control in older adults and its relation with symptoms of anxiety and depression. Locus of control orientation was meaŠured by a revised fom Of Rotter's Locus Of Control Scale, and the anxiety and depressive disorders were measured with Alvarado's Depression and Anxiety Scale. The results show that older adults with anxiety and depressive disorders tended to have Iower scores in Rotter's Locus of Control Scale
