Abstract

The article recalls the process of conceptualization and design of a book compiling the history of the first 40 years of Metro de Santiago. Departing from the traditional lineal or chronological perspective, this project was set in generating a circular narrative, supported in Metro’s intrinsic diversity as urban space that transits between history and the future, between the emotional and the technical, between profound memory and the miscellaneous anecdote, in a portrait as visual as textual, articulating a “citizen” voice through which personal narratives and visions converge capturing this diversity.
