Abstract

The following paper creates a dialogue between two sculptors that are separated by a few generations, but that are joined by their artistic formation and a common tradition: the Bellas Artes de Chile School. This dialogue provides information about the life and work of Nicanor Plaza, who is considered to be one of the greatest Chilean artists in Sculpting, and the pedagogic tradition of his art school, as well as information about the work El Caupolicán, one of his most important pieces of art.
