Abstract
The present essay aims to showing and describing how Borges anticipates crucial technical and scientific processes of the 20th Century, how Borges makes the world «pullulate» into a labyrinth that folds back upon itself in infinite regression. Borges draws upon cultural metaphors and analogies to express the magnitude of the change in sciences and technics. He builds imaginary landscapes of information through writing stories and essays that later become blueprints for actual systems.
