Violence and Crisis of the Social Fabric in El palacio de la risa by Germán Marín

Abstract

This article analyzes the violence represented in the novel El Palacio de la Risa (Germán Marín, 1995). It argues that in the worldview displayed, violence is expressed from a fundamental crisis between the individual and the collective, making this work a paradigmatic novel of post-dictatorial Chilean narrative.
