Abstract

In the present work we discuss the projections and updates of the relations of power and representation made through the colonial notions of bestiality and extreme horror present in the narratives about narcoculture in audiovisual productions, mainly in the web series and in the telenovelas made about the topic. We understand narratives in a broad sense, related to narco culture, the organized crime and narcotic-necrosed spaces that build a necroscopic imaginary (in which the images of violence and death are normalized), subscribed to a third world geopolitics that creates an imaginary of the inhabitants of these spaces as monsters.
