Abstract

Better than a biography in the proper sense of the genre, the Memoirs (1974) by Pablo Neruda consist of a reconfiguration of previous poetic materials – his own poetry. Through this constant intratextual relationship, the equation of life and poetry, so dear to Neruda, reaches a final crystalization in this posthumous writing.
