Abstract

What in the article is called anthropological literature is a new textuality, conceived in Chilean society, which can be considered as part of the literary and/or anthropological fields because of its gestation in a mixed hermeneutic community. It is a type of complex speech, borderline, a variety of disciplinary mutation between literature and human sciences, which manifests cognitive, testimonials and autobiographical functions, and proposes overlapping models of poetic and narrative texts. A book of plays by Yvonne Valenzuela is interpreted, highlighting its visual qualities, from the notion of anthropological literature, which includes the overall consistency of volume and adds the dimensions, possibilities and functions of literary and anthropological experience, and not from a one-dimension dominance.
