Abstract

This paper analyzes some morphosyntactic and lexical aspects in the translation into Spanish of John L. Austin’s How to do things with words, with the aim of studying its degree of devi-ation from the original text and in order to verify its situation between foreignization and domestication, that is usually the preferred choice in philosophical translations. Conclusions will be used to evaluate the convenience of a new translation of this work for the hispanic academic field.
