La dinámica del turno del evento comunicativo conversación

Abstract

On the basis of the revision of some authors interested in the event conversation, the next article presents a methodological proposal for approaching the dynamics of the turn of such event. The proposal is composed of three instruments: 1) the descriptive construct corresponds to the conceptual framework through which we describe the dynamics. This construct is articulated around the turn –the central point of the dynamics– and constituted by two closely related components: that of the strategies used by the interlocutors to take and leave the turn and that of the expressions issued by the speakers, which we call linguistic-pragmatic expressions; 2) the analysis table is the instrument used to organize formally the turn dynamics we observed, and 3) the graphic allows the visual representation of the event in terms of the strategies used by the interlocutors and shows the event globally and simultaneously. The empirical data used to present the functioning of the methodological instruments are part of a conversation (televised) between four people, corresponding to the corpus of study of a thesis for a degree of Master in Linguistics (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile).
