Aciertos y errores en la traducción automática: metodología de la enseñanza-aprendizaje de la traducción humana

Abstract

A methodology of teaching-learning human translation (HT) based on error analysis of machine translation (MT) is presented. For such analysis, two original English texts and their respective Spanish MT were used. One origi- nal text is a short news article about a biotechnological institute and the other an abstract on environment. The on-line machine translation program, Systran, was used. By analysing the errors of MT, conclusions may be drawn regarding type and cause of recurrent errors and regarding the teaching of professional translation
