Un Retrato Psicosocial de Candidatos a Sacerdotes

Abstract

The present article is an adapted version for psychologist of the chapter «Synthesis, Conclusions and Proyections» which belongs of the book tittled «These youngmen want to be Priests,,, (Ed. Paulinas, Santiagode Chile, 1991).
This research focused on vocational antecedents, particularly familiar and enviromental ¡mes, and looked far the personality prefile that emerged front different categories that were especially interesting fortheir future.
An interpretation of the vocation to ministry was developed which is based on Car! Gustav Jung's theory. This interpretation presents a psychological explanation of the ministerial vocation as thc activation of certain archetypes.
