Abstract

Volume population changes will can to be due to natality less mortality by one side, as input and output population (migrations) from other side. This study showed that San Antonio province (V Region of Valparaiso) have negative migration rate; that is, during 1977-1982 period, the province to be lost population. This loss mainly would have female population.

The bigger attraction population centers for San Antonio inhabitants are Valparaiso province, when migrations are inside to regíon; and, Santiago province when migrations are inside to councry or nationallevel. Together with to show main demographic characteristics of San Antonio province populations, paper show increase total population characteristics, and urban and rural population increase characteristics.
