Abstract

Sense of place is essential nevertheless, this concept has not been examined in the light of a trans-disciplinary approach which could provide a better understanding. This research highlights meaningful places in the cities of Concepción and Talca. It interprets them from identity aspects, the and differences found in both cities. In order to understand the relationship between human experience and landscape the proposed study conducted a phenomenological approach in the cities of Concepción and Talca. In the research, the identified sites have a shared meaning. They are places where memory of relevant city's facts lives. However within their own process of identity construction differences are observed.
