Methodological proposal for the identification, localization and evaluation of the tourist heritage of the coastal communities of the Eighth Region of Biobío.

Abstract

Tourist activity may represent an unexploited resource; however, it is necessary to plan the space by means of methods that allow the identification, location and evaluation of all the attractions and infrastructure that are part of the tourist heritage of a given area. Thus, in the search for methodologies that can be used in our country, uniform criteria must be established to record the information and evaluate the attractions and infrastructure in an objective and clear manner. This is one of the goals of the research project financed by Fondecyt (Project No. 1951220), whose methodological proposal is presented below as one of the important results within the framework of the project.
