Spatiotemporal Variation of the Coleoptera Entomofauna in the Alto Patache Fog Oasis (20º49'S; 70º09'W) and its Relation to Geographical Factors.

This study analyse the spatial and temporal distribution od the beetles in the fog oasis of Alto Patache, Tarapacá, and its relations with the geographica actors, during the period October 2001-January 2002. The results obtained show that the spatial distribution o the insects responds to geomorphologic, micro-topographica and substratum. These basically favor the habitability of the space, due to its capacity to give shelter to species, and more important, or its hydrological availability. The temporal distribution of some species is determined by the meteorological conditions variation.
