Abstract

This work has the purpose to show in a brief way the life of this Bonaerense magistrate of the Spanish epoch that offered

qualified services in Chile and Peru, who because of this studies and this political-geographic writings was a clear representer

of the Spanish Illustration epoch. In this opportunity, we consider the most relevant aspects of this instructive about Chile that

as oficial judge of the Real Audience, had to achieve in accomplishment of real command. This important document from 1750,

that remained unedited until 1963, contains not only the data about the national geography specially of the central and south

part of the country, but also an excarnated radiography about the society of the epoch.
