The informal geographer and the formal geographer

Abstract

In the first place, in order to contribute to the reflection in school geography, is explored in the Geography notions on Informal and Formal Geography in the double perspective of the History and theory of the discipline and of the geographical education, without excluding the discussion of the informal and formal geographer notions. In second place, the contribution to outline the more meaningful aspects of the Informal Geography in the earliest years of human life. For then, in third place, to explore in the wide field of the Formal Geography, including substantially the different levels. In fourth place, seem interesting be concentrated in the geographical knowledge of the Middle Education, observing summarily the current contents and those that the university geographers we think that they would have to be acquired in the respective school section. Continuing the logical way of the scientific thought, there has of be included, finally, some considerations to conclusion manner.
